HOISTING HIGH WITH PRIDE(:
Long time did'nt post! Ok, so y'll did'nt pay attention to my announcements today like y'll should have. Nevermind, here's what I said:Basically, logically, technically, apparently, we have to come up with a design for our class flag. This project will be done with our senior class, 0308. (So to all sotongs out there, it means two classes come up with ONE flag and share it, k!) Yepp. ^^ So, this project supposedly should "promote and build house spirit, facilitate interaction between the J1 and J2s and provide a platform for senior and junior classes to bond". Okok, enough with all that crap. And if you are wondering why we should do this DUMBB flag, look at it this way... the flags are going to replace the class cones on House Fridays so if we don't have a good flag, we will get lost like we do every House Friday... So ppl, see the use of the flag? Yea, we have to come up with a flag that stands out and represents our class uniqueness and must HOIST IT WITH PRIDE!!Stuff U Ppl Need To Know
- Materials are given and $1 from the class fund is paid to Council for it
- No vulgarities, no -ve connatations
- Design should be drawn on A4 size paper first and submitted via the box outside Council Room for vetting by teachers
- The dimensions of the flag are 50cm x 30cm. A square are of 15cm x 15cm on the flag (I'll show y'll the design tomorrow) is reserved for class number, which should be big enough to occupy the entire square area
- The colour of the flag should be RED, the colour of our house
- If the design is in black & white, the colours should be labelled neatly on the diagram (And colour designs are highly recommended)
- Once the diagram is submitted to the box outside Council Room, the Liason Committee will get back to us abt the approval of the design
- Once permission is granted, the flags must be painted before 18th May
- Flags must be painted at the area between nexus and audi on level 1
Timeline
- 27th Apr - 3rd May: Senior & junior classes to discuss designs
- 4th May: Draft 1 to be submitted to Council (I know, even this has a DRAFT!!!)
- 8th May (Latest): Designs to be confirmed (Liason Committee will give the cloth for us to paint once the design is approved)
- 8th May - 17th May: Painting of flag
- 18th May: Submission of flag
- 19th May - 20th May: Tying of flags

PS: Many ppl have been coming up to me to ask about the house tees. Firstly, love the enthusiasm, keep it going! (Ok la, I know... very lame! I get it!) Some of the tees are outta stock so we have to wait til they're here before I can collect. OK?
